In the middle of Rotterdam's modern skyline stand the Cube Houses, or "Kubuswoningen" in Dutch: a cluster of cube-shaped homes tilted at a 45-degree angle atop tall pylons, designed by architect Piet Blom and completed in the late 1970s.
