When to shop
Most shops keep standard hours Monday to Saturday, with quieter weekday mornings and busier Saturdays. Sunday opening varies by store, so check individual opening times before visiting on a Sunday. Many city-centre stores also extend their hours one evening a week (koopavond), typically Thursday; check individual store listings to confirm.
Getting between shopping districts
Rotterdam's main shopping areas, including the Meent, Lijnbaan, Koopgoot and Witte de Withstraat, are connected by metro lines A, B and C and are mostly a 10 to 15-minute walk from each other. Day passes are available for unlimited travel on the day of your visit, and the main shopping streets have secure bicycle parking and step-free access.
